Venue Spotlight - Bella Collina

Feast your eyes on the beautiful BELLA COLLINA. It's my latest VENUE SPOTLIGHT. This summer I had the pleasure of referring one my couples to this amazing place. It's located in beautiful San Clemente. BELLA COLLINA is a stunning private golf club with breathtaking views. I feel like the luckiest planner in Southern California right now. They enjoyed working with theWEDDING JEANNIE team so much, that they have invited us to be included in their preferred vendor list. Be still my heart. Did I mention I'm in love with this venue?

Tanja Janjic is the Private Events Director at BELLA COLLINA and she is fantastic. She strives to please her couples and their guests. She is detail oriented and her caring personal service is very rare in this industry. I asked her to tell you why she loves her venue, and why you should consider it for your wedding. What is the history of your venue?
- I am delighted to introduce you Bella Collina Towne & Golf Club nestled in the hills of San Clemente. We are a unique country club that was formerly known as a Pacific Golf Club. It’s the perfect venue to host your wedding and ceremony. Truly unrivaled to other Orange County wedding locations, at Bella Collina Towne & Golf Club every special wedding ceremony and reception is customized to reflect the couple’s unique style and taste. Our ballroom features views of our golf course with brightly colored springtime florals, lush summertime greens, vivid landscape of colors in the fall, out-door amphitheater for ceremonies, and bridge over the lake that can be enjoyed from the outdoor patios.  How many guests can you accommodate?

Reception?

-200 seated dinner inside the Sienna Room including a dance floor

-Outdoors; 500 seated on the Meadows

Ceremony?

- 800 seated on the Amphitheater

-100 seated our beautiful Rustic Organic Farm

Do you provide In-House Catering?

- Absolutely. Our wonderful executive chef Paul Villa can customize any menu to fit your dream wedding.

Is parking provided on-site?
- One of many great things about Bella Collina is that we have plenty of parking spaces available on site, 230 to be exact.

Do you book more than one event per day? How will that affect my event?

- No, we only do one wedding per day.

What is your favorite feature of your venue?

- Bella Collina truly feels like a TUSCAN STYLE VILLA. Our beautiful outdoor Roman amphitheater naturally carved out of the hillside was built for ceremonies in 2010, and is one of my many favorite features about Bella Collina Towne and Golf Club. You also get to enjoy San Clemente’s cool sea-breeze and picturesque rolling hills from the hilltop Clubhouse.


. Give us the top three reasons why couples should book your venue for their wedding/reception.

• Best thing about Bella Collina Towne and Golf Club , as I previously mentioned, is that we only do one wedding per day .This allows the couple to personalize the club house, and really feel like they have the venue just for them and their guests .
• We have some amazing photo opportunities around the golf course , and many vignettes within the venue . This backdrop is the perfect setting for your wedding portrait. Every Bella Collina wedding feels like a destination wedding without having to go too far! 
• If you are looking to have an evening ceremony with a reception that goes late into the night, this is the perfect venue for it because at Bella Collina Towne and Golf Club we don’t have noise, or time restrictions.

Bella Collina Wedding of Shina & Eric

Meet Shina & Eric who married this past Saturday at Bella Collina Towne and Golf Club, in San Clemente. Jen Bierman of Photogenic is such an amazing photographer. She was so excited about the images that she worked all day yesterday editing a handful to share.

They both are so beautiful inside and out. Both are filled with life, love and great humor. Aren't their eyes piercing? I had to share with you. They look so happy. And they should be, they are now husband and wife, and had a beautiful day with their family and friends.

Tuscany Wedding Photo Shoot

Enjoy this Tuscan Style Ceremony Site, from the talented lens of Chris of Imagery Immaculate I had the absolute priviledge to design and create a photo shoot at Serra Plaza. It's a stunning venue in San Juan Capistrano. The goal was to showcase the beauty and details of this new venue. Filled with warm adobe colors, tile roofs and a bubbling fountain, I saw Tuscany. The challenge was to create it!

The photo shoot was visually amazing from every angle. In fact it was featured on The Style Unveiled Blog this week. Since it was featured, we've had such amazing feedback. I even received an email from another planner from South Florida. I would love to hear your comments. And if you want a wedding that feels like Tuscany, call me. I can make it happen.

Venue Spotlight - Serra Plaza

In  the business of weddings, you make amazing connections. True for me. I've been fortunate to become more than just colleagues with some of those people. Some have become my friends. They are people you love to work with again and again, cheer for, and admire, and who INSPIRE you. Mary Lallande, Venue Concierge of Jay's Catering, is one of those special people. She writes the Jay's Catering Blog, titled "Food For Thought".

Jay's and Mary have unveiled a new venue in San Juan Capistrano's historice district. Recently they hosted a brunch for wedding professionals to witness the beauty of this amazing place. It's called SERRA PLAZA. I'm quoting Mary's words in describing this South Orange County jewel.

"Stone pavers, loggias, arches, covered breezeways, bubbling fountains, old world doors, and large clay pots with an abundance of flowers welcome you to Serra Plaza. Located adjacent to the Historic Los Rios District and within walking distance of The Mission San Juan Capistrano, Serra Plaza truly has that old world charm with a pristine new feel. The amenities include; a plaza that can accommodate 450 guests, a gorgeous bridal suite, a private patio with an outdoor stone fireplace for cocktails or an intimate ceremony, and ample parking. My VENUE SPOTLIGHT is a way to share with you the best venues Southern California has to offer. So it was obvious that I had to choose SERRA PLAZA, as the latest spotlight. So without further delay....here is my interview with Mary.

What is the history of your venue?  The plaza itself is new construction. However we are surrounded by the Historic downtown community of San Juan Capistrano and one of our anchor buildings is on the Historic registry.

How many guests can you accommodate?             Ceremony? 450               Reception? 375

Do you provide In-House Catering? We have a list of four preferred caterers to choose from.

Is parking provided on-site? 269 parking spaces included.

Do you book more than one event per day? Only one. How will that affect my event? You are not rushed because of another event and have complete privacy.

What is your favorite feature of your venue? I have two, the large angel fountain in the plaza and the French inspired bridal suite. Wait make that three. The old church pews we own.
